Don’t save on the battery and charger!

After you have chosen the right mover, the next step will be the selection of a battery and charger. Generally a mover provides more power than a small car. All necessary energy is supplied by the battery. If the mover doesn’t get enough energy, sufficient power will be unavailable. There will be more wear and the lifespan of the mover will be shorter. We only sell batteries that we have tested and we are conservative and careful in our advice. In association with ACSI Freelife magazine we’ve tested different batteries with different techniques. The Optima Yellow Top AGM batteries performed well on a track of 90 meters with a gradient of 6%. The Reich MPP achieved the same. All other standard wet, calcium and cheap AGM batteries didn’t reach this distance. This despite the fact that the manufacturer stated that the batteries could deliver 70, 90 or even 110 Ah. Of course we were also interested in the long-term performance of the Optima Yellow Top 55Ah battery. Hence, we tested a 7 years old Optima battery. It drove the distance without any difficulty. So the difference in performance cannot be explained by the capacity of the battery but in the maximum delivery of energy. Most batteries cannot deliver the energy that is needed. We deliberate choose only a few battery brands and types.

Lithium maximum weight saving!

We sell three types of lithium batteries. Manufacturer Reich has the most experience with the MPP, and you will obtain maximum weight saving. Manufacturer PowerXtreme has the best prices. With the X10 you will obtain maximum weight saving. And with the PowerXtreme X30 you save weight and you can use it for a board network connection because it has more capacity.

Optima batteries

Optima is the leading brand of Varta, the biggest battery manufacturer in the world. This battery is particularly suitable for heavy applications. An optima battery is 10 kg lighter and significantly smaller than traditional lead-acid batteries. The battery does not contain any fluids, so even when damaged it remains leak-proof. Also, it can be fitted in any position, even upside down. A battery box is not needed and you don’t need to make a drain. This battery has no problem supplying the energy release requested by the mover, so this makes it an optimal combination with any mover. It will last longer than any standard conventional battery. Our experiences are very positive. We have sold these batteries for more than a decade and have never seen a faulty one, as long as the owners followed our charging advice. Obviously, rare manufacturing errors form an exception to the rule. The technique has been in use for quite a long time now, so early mistakes have been eradicated. We strongly recommend the Optima AGM battery, together with a good charger.

Our best and most sold battery set is set 2, with the Optima Yellow Top S4.2/55 Ah battery. If you follow our charging advice this set is virtually fault-free. The battery weighs 19 kg. With this battery you can use the mover for more than 40 minutes. A minimal energy release is necessary for a mover to function optimally. The Optima battery in our set 2 amply meets this minimal norm. You can also use this battery for lighting. We can connect the battery to the board network of your caravan. Our complete set 1 makes use of the smaller Optima S2,7/38 Ah. This battery only weighs 12 kg and its energy release is less than the other Optima batteries. You have approximately 25 minutes maneuvering time. The biggest advantage of this battery is the saving of weight.

Our complete sets 3 and 4

We advise set 3, with the S5.5/75 Ah Optima battery, to the intensive user. This battery is suitable for situations where you don’t have a 230V connection available for a few days. With our set 4 you have a solution for intense self-supporting use. The set includes a Ctek charger which enables charging during driving and the connection to a solar panel. In addition , the mover gets more than enough energy so this set is suitable for heavier applications.

PowerXtreme

The PowerXtreme X10 battery is the alternative for the MPP. This battery has a capacity of 10 Ah and allows you to manoeuvre for approximately 14 minutes. The battery weights 2 kg.
The PowerXtreme X30 battery has a capacity of 30 Ah and allows you to maneuver the caravan for approximately 30 minutes. The battery weighs 5 kg. Because of its greater capacity you will be able to use it on the board connection. The higher energy output makes this battery suitable for heavy caravans. Charging whilst driving is possible with an optional charger. This battery came out best in an ANWB comparison test. In our own practice test this battery was the best lithium battery when tested on heavy duty performance. The energy output is comparable with our set 3 and 4 (Optima Yellow Top 75 Ah battery).

You have to register your product for the 5 years warranty from the importer. Otherwise we give you a 2 year warranty.

Victron Peak Power Pack

The Victron Peak Power Pack is available with 8Ah, 20Ah, 30Ah and 40Ah. The 30 and 40Ah are also suitable for heavy caravans. The Peak Power Pack can be charged with the supplied mains adapter, with a solar panel or by the dynamo of a vehicle or boat. The high-power output to which the mover is connected can deliver 150 Ampere continuously and 200 Ampere for a short time. This output switches itself off after 30 minutes. The battery has a separate connection for the on-board network (max. 30A.)

Dongle

Using the VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart dongle you can display your BMV or MPPT information on iOS and Android devices, using the VictronConnect app. View information wirelessly such as battery status and solar panel power, plus other useful data.

The dongle is able to read data from all products with a VE.Direct port, such as the BMV-70x series battery monitors, Phoenix Inverters with VE.Direct port, MPPT Solar Charge Controllers.

Reich Mobility Power Pack (MPP)

The MPP from Reich only weighs 2 kg. Due to its low weight the capacity is limited. In practice this seems not so relevant for a lot of the caravans, according to the expert’s advice. You can maneuver for about 12 minutes. The MPP can be charged by a 230V connection, or by the built-in charger on the 12V constant current wire or a solar panel. The maximum energy output is the same as set 1 (Optima Yellow Top 38 Ah battery).
There is a warranty of one year on the cells and 2 years on the electronics.

Leave your battery in the caravan during winter!

All the batteries that we sell can stay in the caravan during winter. You only need to follow our charging advice. Just charge it to the maximum and immediately disconnect the clamps afterwards. Every set we sell includes our charging advice, so you know how to maintain your battery optimally.

Connection on board network (Self-supporting)

We can connect our batteries to the board network of your caravan. This connection costs 220,- Euro s, materials included. With this connection you can use the 12V lighting, toilet, taps and pumps even if the caravan is not connected to a 230V network.
This connection works fully automatic ally. When the caravan doesn’t get energy from the car, and is not connected to 230V supply, the energy will be delivered by the mover battery instead. We place a fuse between the mover battery and the board network. This automatic switch doesn’t interfere with your car’s electronics. The battery will not be charged during driving. If you want the battery to get charged while driving we advise our complete set 4.

Optima batteries are not without reason the batteries that are best suited for the mover. The technology is mature, there are no children's diseases. We recommend the use of an Optima AGM-battery. Therefore we provide our mover with a CTEK battery charger. These high-quality chargers were originally developed by Optima and are therefore ideal for these (and other) batteries. Through our many years of experience with batteries and battery chargers we are the only webshop, that is allowed to carry the CTEK-Certified-Specialist logo.

Another AGM-battery has a lower quality than an Optima AGM-battery, the benefits apply only to genuine Optima AGM-batteries. Make sure that you buy an original Optima battery. There are many other batteries that look similar. The name yellow top is not protected so any other battery manufacturer can use this name.
The disadvantage of the higher purchase costs of an Optima battery is completely compensated by the advantages compared to conventional batteries in our opinion. Optima batteries are about 10 kg lighter and considerably smaller. The batteries are spillable, as they contain no liquid. The battery can be mounted in any position, even upside down. You don't need a battery leak bin and no battery drain. The Optima battery has a three times longer life than a conventional battery. Also it can be stored for long periods, without being connected to a charger. Hibernate in the caravan is also no problem, if you fully charge the battery and release the battery clamps.

PowerXtreme has a strict dealer network. We are a registered dealer of this brand.

As a rule, you can not contact the manufacturer or importer directly with this brand.The indicated warranty is the extended warranty. You are only entitled to the extended warranty granted by the manufacturer after registration with the manufacturer. Otherwise you are entitled to 2 years warranty.

Spare parts

If you have damage, or if there are problems after the warranty period, the brands PowrMover, Reich, Truma, and AL-KO offer an almost complete range of spare parts. So, if you have a small problem after the warranty period, you don't have to buy a whole new mover. You can often solve the problem with a separately ordered spare part. The spare parts of most movers are guaranteed available for 10 years. In addition, we have the most extensive range spare parts used and new in stock.

Geachte Met dit schrijven wil ik mijn ervaring met de aankoop van de PowerXtreme X30 bij Caravan mover shop delen. Na veel wikken en wegen is mijn keus gevallen op de PowerXtreme X30. Het gewicht en de capaciteit van de accu zijn hierbij doorslaggevend geweest. Onze caravan een Hobby 400 van 2007 voorzien van een Truma XT mover. De vorige accu was een Optima Yellow Top 4.2. Deze batterij weegt ongeveer 20kg. de PowerXtreme X30 een 5.6kg. Bij het moveren is er geen verschil waarneembaar tussen de yellow top en de X30. Bij de Yellow top 4.2 gebruikte ik een CTEK druppellader. Er is bij de powerXtreme X30 geen externe lader nodig deze is ingebouwd. De Yellow top werkte absoluut goed maar de X30 moet zeker niet onder doen. Het verschil zit hem voor mij hoofdzakelijk in het gewicht. Bij de caravanmovershop zijn de bestellingen steeds correct en snel afgeleverd. Hopelijk heeft mijn ervaring een meerwaarde. met vriendelijke groet D. Gino

Sehr geehrter Herr Mulder mit der schnellen Lieferung dem günstigen Preis und dem erstaunlich geringen Gewicht der PowerXtreme Batterie bin ich sehr zufrieden.Das Produkt kann ich allerdings erst später bewerten da der Wohnwagen in den die Batterie eingebaut werden soll ( ein Fendt Saphir 515 SG ) erst im Mai geliefert wird. Sobald ich erste ( hoffentlich positive ) Erfahrungen damit gemacht habe werde ich Ihnen gerne berichten. Mit freundlichen Grüßen A. B.

Ik had een Powerextreme accu besteld bij caravamovershop en daarbij niet goed opgelet dat er aansluitonderdelen apart bijbesteld moest worden. Werd keurig opgebeld of de bestelling wel correct was of dat de ontbrekende onderdelen vergeten waren te bestellen. Prima service! En dan ook nog op tijd leveren wat door mijn fout wat krapjes werd. Beste mensen Wij hebben inderdaad door CaravanMoverShop Veenendaal een nieuwe accu laten plaatsen voor onze mover. Hoewel dit een van de eerste movers van Truma was functioneert deze nog uitstekend. Echter de accu was defect geraakt. Het betrof een loodaccu van 100 Amp. Deze was letterlijk loodzwaar circa 25 kg en moest iedere winter weer uit de caravan verwijderd worden. Ben toen gaan zoeken op internet en wilde in ieder geval een veel lichtere accu die als het even kon kan blijven in de caravan tijdens de winterperiode in de stalling. Snel kwam ik bij de PowerExtreme terecht via de site van de movershop. Telefonisch contact gezocht met hen en mijn visie voorgelegd. Ik kon in principe een keuze maken uit de PowerExtreme of het product van Reich. Omdat ik ook gebruik wilde maken van de accu voor verlichting was de keuze snel gemaakt. Derhalve viel het besluit om de PowerExtreme 30 Amp te kiezen. Na een afspraak te hebben gemaakt om het te plaatsen bij de shop in Veenendaal hem daar laten inbouwen. Uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen en snel en deskundig gemonteerd door hen. Samengevat een degelijke voorlichting een snelle afspraak voor montage een prettige ontvangst en deskundige montage. Een echte aanrader voor het plaatsen van een mover en of eventuele accu’s tegen een voordelig tarief. Met vriendelijke groet Jan en Els E.

Hallo de accu is helaas iets later bij mij aangekomen als dat ik gehoopt had dit omdat De caravanmovershop de leverancier rechtstreeks laat leveren en die had de extreme X10 niet op voorraad overigens door de caravanmovershop hier wel netjes over ingelicht verder geen bijzonderheden keurig geleverd. Bert M. We zijn druk bezig om alle lithium accu’s ook zelf te mogen versturen. Helaas is de X10 in de eerste periode na de introductie nog niet door ons legaal te versturen.< i>

Beste Jorg Mulder Mijn ervaring met CaravanMoverShop is éénmalig tot dusver maar ik ben er wel tevreden over. De website is duidelijk en overzichtelijk en het bestellen was simpel. Ook de snelheid van versturen en binnen krijgen van het artikel stemt mij tevreden. Het enige puntje van kritiek is dat ik geen echte aparte factuur aankoopbon heb gekregen maar alleen een web-versie. Normaal ontving ik bij bestellingen online altijd een factuur bijgevoegd bij het product. Aangezien ik facturen altijd bewaar bij de producten zolang de garantieperiode geld is het wel zo handig om facturen cq aankoopbonnen in pdf- of Word-format te verkrijgen. Met vriendelijke groet J.B. S. Je kunt de factuur altijd raadplegen of simpelweg uitprinten. Je kunt hem ook kopiëren naar word en vervolgens opslaan.< i>

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren vielen Dank für die schnelle Lieferung. Habe die LIAO Power X treme X 30 als komplettpaket sofort eingebaut. Alte Batterie und Ladegerät raus neues Gerät eingebaut. Na me te hebben ingelezen en te hebben georiënteerd op internet bij de diverse sites kwam ik tot de conclusie om een PowerXtreme X30 aan te schaffen. Omdat wij ook wel eens zonder stroom van de paal was het een voorwaarde om capaciteit voldoende te hebben. Vandaar gekozen voor de X30 en niet voor de X20. De eerste indruk is goed. Het opladen duurde ca. 7 8 uur en de accu deed wat die doen moest. Onze oprit is fors met een diepe goot. De bestelling betaling en levering via CaravanMoverShop is prima verlopen. Martin A.

Een nieuwe accu! Op 8 april besloot ik dat mijn oude moveraccu die inmiddels zo’n zeseneenhalf jaar oud is gedurende de komende lange verweg vakantie er wel eens mee op zou kunnen houden. Een belletjje met de CaravanMoverShop leerde mij dat mijn loodaccu eigenlijk al wel min of meer in “reservetijd”zat en dat ik als ik niet voor onprettige verassingen wilde komen te staan misschien maar beter kon overwegen om een nieuwe accu te installeren. Daarbij kreeg ik duidelijke uitleg over de verschillen in accu’s en tevens de prijzen.... en dat was wel een beetje schrikken. Ik zei dat ik er eerst nog wel even over wilde denken; dat was uitstekend. Een flink prijsverschil (ruim twee keer zo duur als een Optima die ook goed is) maar een heerlijk laag gewicht een garantie van 5 jaar en de CaravanMoverShop kreeg er zelden of nooit één terug met een fout. Mijn vrouw herinnerde mij subtiel aan het gewicht dus toen toch maar voor de PowerXtreme 30X gegaan dan is het maar gelijk goed opgelost. Op weg naar Veenendaal toch nog wel even gepiekerd of meer dan € 450 niet erg veel is voor een accu maar ja de sores als er iets misgaat...... Ik werd uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen de voor- en nadelen van de verschillende accu’s werd nog een keer belicht en de koop was snel gesloten. Terwijl ik mij met de jonge hond vermaakte werd de accu in mijn auto gezet de rekening opgemaakt en een half uurtje nadat ik binnen was gestapt reed ik alweer naar huis. En dat met de uitdrukkelijke boodschap: “als er ook maar iets is dat niet duidelijk is bel dan. We helpen u altijd!” En: “een prettige vakantie”. Een tevreden klant. (Eduard B.)

Ons is gevraagd een review te schrijven over de door ons gekochte Liao Enginely Power Mover. Hoe de accu gaat bevallen kunnen wij niet over oordelen. Wel kunnen wij oordelen over de gang van zaken na het bestellen van bovengenoemd product. Naar onze mening is dat niet geheel vlekkeloos verlopen. Wij hebben ervaren dat de communicatie na de bestelling wat ons betreft zeer te wensen overliet. Wij hebben regelmatig moeten bellen wanneer de levering van het product plaats zou vinden. Daarnaast werd op de door ons gestuurde email niet gereageerd en hebben wij weer moeten bellen om de tracing gegevens van DHL te kunnen ontvangen. Uiteindelijk is de accu geleverd maar de onrust over de levering hadden wij niet hoeven ervaren als de communicatie beter was verlpen. Het probleem is dat het versturen van een Lithium accu per normale post een economisch delict is. Het product is een gevarengoed volgens de wetgever. Wij besteden de verzending van deze accu’s dan ook uit. Normaliter verstuurt de fabrikant het elke dag helaas is dat dus bij u niet gebeurd. Waarom weet ik niet en heb ik ook navraag voor ingesteld. < i>
